Previous Actions and Press Clips

APAN members hard at work - victories large and small to inspire you.

Action Alerts and Campaigns

APAN's email campaign against offensive CafePress products.

Our action alert to APAN members requesting their help with an epidemic of hateful CafePress products.

Result: Mixed. Many products were removed, but due to CP's lack of oversight, more products appeared to replace them.

APAN's action campaign against the Nation Magazine

Our original letter to the Nation requesting they remove the Bendricks ad.

Our subsequent email action campaign when they failed to comply.

Result: The ad quietly disappeared.

APAN's quick action against the "Charity Slave Auction"

The press release announcing a "slave auction" in Los Angeles, with the proceeds to be given (without irony) to needy children and the homeless. Result: Two phone calls cleared this up. Both charities declined involvement and refused the money.

APAN member's email campaign against S Factor

Army of Me leads a quick action against pre-teen pole dancing classes at a studio in Los Angeles. Result: The pre-teen offerings disappear from the company's website.

APAN member's easy action against Stitches Clothing Store

Dragonfly leads another quick action against Stitches Clothing Store for stocking a misogynist t-shirt. Result: The shirt is removed from the store.
